I have been studying glass since 2001. Gradually I realized that learning glassblowing has a great value for me: the love for it and the act of creating. Learning and mastering this craft gives me a solid foundation to create, to grasp the non-physical, the craft as a language for the soul. Practicing, making and creating is the closest I have come to my soul path so far. It feels as an unforced process.
Currently I am on a colorful path, a search for fascinating color combinations of opaque and especially transparent glass. I utilize these to create a beautiful composition. Here too I notice the more knowledge and skill, the looser and calmer it becomes to create a powerful piece. The skill of the craft is satisfying and an eternal process.
When the blown piece is done it is not the end stage, it is just part of the journey continuing…
